Manu Samoa

Samoa was a awesome rugby team on the Rugby World Cup 2011. I supported Manu Samoa from the start to the end. The Manu Samoa was brave never gave up always stand up for them self, even when they never made it to the quatar finals but they tried there best. It was fun when the RWC 2011 started we got all our'er flags we went around Auckland weaving our Samoa flag !!BEEP BEEP GO MANU SAMOA!! people creating a long line of cars beeping crazy funny horns its like follow the leader but with Samoan flags and Tongan flags its how we support our favorite team. !!WOW!! walking around in Mangere seeing people doing Manu Samoa haka from the other side and Tonga haka from the other side it was awesome. I thought it was boring so we took the long line of cars to the city, heaps of cars were very loud never stop there horn it carried on and on till it was night. We all went to have a good night sleep then the next day we would start it again. It was so sad to see Manu Samoa lose against South Africa but it was okay they tried there best to win it was the best RWC 2011 in the history of RWC bye Manu Samoa.

The best activity game of my life

On my way to school I heard that Room 20, 21, 22 and 19 were going out for the fun activity games. !!YES!! instead of going to maths we went to have out fun silly exciting games.

When we lined up we walked down to the bottom field where the fun activity games were set up. All the teachers in Room 19, 20, 21 and 22 has to think of a activity for the student to have fun with.

We started of with Mrs Nua room 20 our class, Mrs Nua filled four buckets with water. Then we were given numbers 1 2 3 4 we lined up ready for the challenge. Mrs Nua gave us a bucket filled with water and a sponge, the game was we had to dump our sponges in the water and get as much water as we can.

Then make sure we don’t squeeze it then we passed it side ways and over till we got to the other bucket at the back of us when the sponge is at the last person we sprint all the way to the other bucket then the hard part began we had to use our mussels and our fingers to squeeze all the water from the sponge into the bucket the most water into the bucket wins.


After we had fun and got a little bit wet we moved on to the next activity this activity involves balls and skills. The teacher that was responsible for this game was Mrs Lagitupu we got a band each Blue, yellow, Green and Red of we went we had to pass the ball and try to tag someone with the ball we got heaps of people that game was fun too bad we didn't have that much fun because the hooter went on that the signal is to move on to the activity. !!YES!! this one is fun sling shot we had balls to use to sling of this thing Ms Tito was in charged of this game there were heaps of hoops the far one is 100 points the close ones was 50 points we tried to shoot the ball into the hoop we lost we couldn't get a single ball into the hoop.!!OH!! we had to move on to the next activity I’ve done this one put our legs together and tie them with a string we had a spoon with a tennis ball on it.!!GO!! we walked slowly the teacher was Mr Harris.

I was so board staying at home I had two more days untill school starts I was so excited and board at the time. Finally it was time to go to school I miss learning and playing with friends. 8.00 I woke up its so cool that I'm going back to school say good bye to holidays and say hi again to school,when I walked to school ''I WONDER WHAT OUR TOPIC IS THIS TERM''. When I made it to school I found out it was about the (RWC) Rugby World Cup 2011. Our topic was called !!KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL!! !!YEAH BUDDY!! we are learning about the Rugby World Cup 2011 this is going to be a fun topic I like it. I was so in a mode of happiness and excited because my culture is play this sport !!!MANU SAMOA!!! I'm looking forward to this 2011 World Cup. I don't know who's going to win this world cup. The world cups real name is Webb Ellis that a nice name for this cup I hope Manu Samoa wins it will be there first time winning the rugby world cup 2011 for Samoa. Manu Samoa is a really good team to me they are representing the Island Samoa. The best player in the team to me is Tui Lagi. Samoa try your best......

Aussie Rules

On Wednesday we went to the hall for Aussie Rules. What is Aussie Rules? Aussie Rules is a sport that they play at Aussie Australia this game is different to rugby you don’t pass the ball you hit the ball if you pass it like a rugby ball or netball Automatically penalty no warning you have to give it to the other team. The two coaches there name are Eamon and Micheal they were there to help us. First thing was to look for a partner then get a ball and learned how hit the ball. When we hold the ball we hold it on our hand that we don’t write on. Then bring your other hand and make it your fist then you hit the ball its like scooping a ice-cream then boom the ball shoots threw in the air we hit the ball around !!OOH!! it was time to go that was sad we had to go it was the best day ever.

This is my creative name - Marven that I created when I went to Ms Tito to learn about Creativity. This was part of our Immersion Rotation.
Every day we went to different class rooms to learn different things like Discovery, Imagination, Creative, Innovation and Practicality.

Game On

Last week Room 20 went to play netball with our coach named Emma. She was a netball coach that came from ANC to teach us some skills and drills. The skills we did were chest passing, over head passing and bounce passing.
In this game of netball there are so many rules.The stuff you need is some good shoes and a bib. A bib is sort of like a singlet with two letters on it. I was given two letters that said (WD) wing defender. I didn’t like these letters because it was hard. The person that I vs was a person who played netball before.
Finally its the last session we had a game !!!YES!!! I finally got a chance to show off my skills. I was now given a good bib that said (GS) Goal shooter. The ball was in my hands I lifted the ball up and then shot it in the hoop !!YEAH!! my team was happy I got it in my first ever goal on a netball game I said to my self. Miss Hannan asked me if I got the hang of it and I replied back to her yes I do and I am started to get better at it.
By the end of the game I was turning like a professional at netball but I was joking I was a beginner however, I still felt like a pro. We all said thank you to Emma. Netball is a fun sport to play even when it doesn't suite boys but we all had so much fun.

My Personal Goals - 2011

My achievement I was most proud of last year in the classroom was writing. This year I am starting to get better at writing and be more interesting with my stories. Now I am getting better at it I think I should write more awesome stories.

The thing I was most proud of last year outside of the classroom was playing around with my friends.

In reading my learning goal is to get higher grades like other people.
To achieve this goal I need to work harder on everything.

In Maths my goal is to try my best at my fractions.

The learning area I think I need to improve in most is my writing and my maths.

In my learning my goal this term is to ‘Take Charge’ ..

My goal for this year around the classroom is to be a good boy in my class.

My goal for this year around the school is to look after the little ones and take charge of everything.

My parents goal for me this Term is to try and earn a certificate and award.

Telephone Invention

What if you had no telephone? You would not be able to contact your family and friends. Thanks to Alexander Graham Bell for his clever invention. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be using telephones. If we didn't have it we would have to use birds that will carry messages around.
On March the 7th 1876 the first phone ever was invented. It looked different to the 2011 phone because the olden day phones don’t look flashy but the new phones look really flashy.
The olden day phone was made out of wood but the new phones are made out of different material. In the olden days the old telephone box's looked like a robot but it wasn't a telephone robot that moved around they were telephones that were stuck to the wall.

Tornado

On April 5th 2011 a sad thing happened. A tornado smashed and crashed up Albany North Shore at 3pm. There was heaps of damage to houses and shopping centers that were destroyed. Luckily there was only one man that died. He was fixing his roof and then got caught up in the tornado. It was spinning him around and threw him into a building and got him into a bad situation. Two doctors were rushing quickly to save this mans life but it was too late, he was gone.
People in houses thought that it was a plane flying low but it wasn't it was the whoosh of wind and a black cloud coming forward to them spinning around. Have you seen a washing machine twirling around it looks just like a tornado.
In the tornado were cars, trucks and ceilings off houses, all these were in the tornado.
Where would you hide if a mean beast with explosive power that sounds just like a jet-engine roaring was right outside your window?
Well it’s just not your ordinary day.
